“A great sigh of relief…”

“A Godsend!” – that’s how MessageStream is described by Talent Recruitment’s IT Manager John Loftas. “We since internally calculated that we now save more than 100 man-hours per month since the introduction of MessageStream.”

Nationally renowned recruitment company Talent certainly had problems with spam emails, reaching an intolerable 250,000 per day across the 260 company mailboxes. “Most of our colleagues download their emails off-site,” added John. “This means people were experiencing as much as a two to three hour wait to download their messages, in which time they were unable to work on other projects. They’d then spend another hour or so viewing and deleting the junk received. This was severely affecting our business.

“We had plans to introduce Spam Assassin and a new IMAP server, mainly to improve our productivity and combat the spam, but the volumes were getting just too large to make the switch. So we looked at MessageStream in the hope that we could take the problem away from our network, to be dealt with higher in the email chain.

“Once we’d created a list of live email addresses from our mail server, it was imported into MessageStream, and the rest was easy,” John recalls. “The results were tremendous – I remember breathing a great sigh of relief once emails were passing through MessageStream.”

Talent have now been able to move their internal email system to a new IMAP server safe in the knowledge that the tidal wave has abated, and their legitimate emails are archived securely off-site on MessageStream.

“Now people get their messages rapidly, and have no idea how many junk emails are being stopped – that’s how it should be.”
